Shooting / Prise de vue

47 photographs were taken (18mm, F/13) with the flash, at heights spanning from 10 cm to 1 m from the ground. The surrounding stabilisation boards were left, to help Photoscan rebuilding the geometry. The photo series was imported into Photoscan.

Photogrammetry – reconstruction – 3Dpdf export – Part1

Set-up

The photogrammetry has been done with a very small setup. The Sony DSC QX10 has been used for its very small size which made the process easier.

This camera is connected to a smartphone via Wi-Fi, it is then possible to shoot from a distance. Continuer la lecture de Photogrammetry – reconstruction – 3Dpdf export – Part1

3D-Photo – ancient photos in 3D models

Placement de documents anciens dans une géométrie 3D

It could be interesting to place ancient documents like drawings or photographs in a recent 3D model. It may open several uses like comparing before/after or guess the photo has been taken from. It’s also possible to reconstruct a model from a collection of ancient photos. Other uses are yet to be determined.
